Born in a small town, JHALU (Bijnor), Uttar Pradesh in !938; my town did not have even the basic amenities and facilities for education, health, transport and infrastructure – roads within the town or connecting other town, no electricity ; one could feel isolated ;Had one Junior High school with Hindi and English medium of instructions; No guidance or mentoring as what to do for life and career etc. It was very hard and almost self making effort for every one.
I wonder as how I completed my High School and Intermediate studies in another poor environment of education , living with my Maternal Grandmother; a little better facilities but almost the same. How I came to decide that I should go for my further study to BHU and study the subjects what I studied over there for my B.Sc. It looks like some body else was taking decisions for me _ My Destiny.
Having my education from Banaras Hindu University-BHU for my B.Sc. and M.Sc.(Geophysics) , I worked for ONGC as Geophysicist and later as Scientific Officer (Documentation); In 1973, I obtained my A.Doc from DRTC-ISI, Bangalore .In 1976 left India and worked with University of Ibadan (Nigeria) till 1988 and after that with Addis Ababa University (Ethiopia) till 1994. .Since 2000, as a retired person, I live in Canada as a Canadian Citizen.
